Happy Lunar Niu Year!

It’s the first day in the Year of the Ox (?, which sounds like new)! Amidst gorging myself with new year goodies and meeting relatives that I haven’t seen in a year, here’s wishing everyone a prosperous and healthy year ahead!

Chinese New Year has always been a special occasion for me. I have fond memories of it and it’s my favorite festival. However, as years go by, the festive spirit seems to have dampened and I find myself less excited each year. Nevertheless, I still enjoy everything about it.

As I was explaining to some Canadians who just arrived here, the custom of exchanging mandarin oranges is a symbol of happiness and good luck. Here’s some for you! =)

Thank you! I am terribly overstuffed this year as usual. There’s just so much to eat!

Oh, I just realized that wordpress doesn’t parse chinese characters. Hmm.

    Hello,

I’m new here, however I wanted to pass along a link to this really cool new photography site. Its called Photo Art Museum (www.photoartmuseum.com)
Whats great about the site is that you can sell your photography for free, there are no listing fees. Its also a great way to get exposure from a worldwide audience. I’ve been a professional photographer for over 10 years now and I really like this site.
