Just got back from 13 hours of interviews with people I’m collaborating on for my next project. It was extremely brutal and I’m really exhausted now. However, I am very happy that I’ve got such a good response for the project. It’s heartening to know that people are actually willing to sit for the portraits and spend a few hours just chatting with me. I’ve gained some insights to how humans operate. I’m wondering how I can use photography as a medium to translate what I’ve learnt, while allowing the different personalities to come through. I’m crossing my fingers on this one and hope that I’d get a good series out of it. More interviews lined up tomorrow and later in the month. =)
Btw, mus-mus has updated their site with photos taken all over the world on the day Obama got elected. Check it out here! Some pretty awesome pictures there. Try spotting mine! It was basically a shot out of my window, with a reflection of the world map on my wall. A cool project by a bunch of really mysterious folk. The power of the Internet!
