Nothing like some offbeat images to cure a hard day of work, especially on a dreary Monday!

Advertising photographer Yokonami Osamu from Japan creates quirky images that doesn’t fail to elicit smiles from the audience. Although his work is largely advertising in general, he has a series centered around a middle-age Japanese man wearing a wig. I have no idea what it means but it’s just surreal. Nevertheless, I like what I see and I respect the fact that people are willing to pay artists to materialize their creative visions.

Based in Singapore, advertising photographer Alvin Tang has a specific style and approach to his personal and commercial work. I think that his personal work might be a little too commercial for some people.

Alvin Tang’s commitment to narrativity is often present in both his commercial and personal works. Elements of light flares and windows are also frequently used as metaphors for his characters in his’single-framed movies’. Like film-stills isolated from the cinematic flow, his oddly attractive images often give viewers an unsettling feeling.
