Michael Wolf

German-born photographer, Michael Wolf, has lived in Hong Kong since 1995. His work focuses on the vernacular culture of people living in Hong Kong and China.

From the Robert Koch Gallery:

Wolf delves into subjects such as the formal and improvisational aesthetics of Hong Kong’s architectural forms, the often-overlooked human presence at the heart of international industry, and the idiosyncratic ways city-dwellers shape their surroundings in an “organic metropolis.”

Having just returned from a trip to Hong Kong, Wolf’s work is resonating with me. I love the 100×100 series.
