Gear up for P.I.X - Photo Imaging X-change 2007, a conference specially designed for photography, cinematography and digital imaging professionals, as well as amateurs and enthusiasts. Held concurrently with Imaging Expo Singapore trade exhibition from 1-4 November 2007. It is organized by Koelnmesse, the fine people who bring you photokina.
The conference boasts a number of speakers from the region, top names in the industry from the region and beyond. Topics up for discussion would be related to photography (what else!), with a focus on the business side for professionals or people wanting to turn pro, i.e. networking, marketing etc. The conference is split up into a few tracks for professional photographers, amateurs, cinematographers/videographers and imaging solutions. Seems like there would be interactive exchanges - live studio sessions, hands-on workshops and outdoor photo shoots. Sign up before Sep 30 to qualify for the early bird price. However, the entrance fees are too high for a poor student like me so I would just have to sit out on this one.
