Yuki Aoyama

Yuki Aoyama‘s images of school girls and men in business suits suspended in mid-air are rather funny. He manages to cause viewers to believe, albeit for a moment, that the subjects defy gravity.

Reminds me of my school’s entire ad campaign based on students jumping around.

speaking of jumping ad campaigns, this year’s cannes film festival used jumping to celebrate an anniversary:

and six feet under used jumping to another affect in some of their promotional materials a little while ago. just thought i’d supply more jump options. :-)

Found the Six Feet Under poster here.

I think timing jumping shots can be quite problematic…you can’t exactly go for high fps due to the strobes’ refresh rates. But I guess it’s okay if you aren’t that kind of person who goes shutter happy. Haha.

Maybe I will suggest the new jumping ideas to my school’s management. =)
