Jongchul Lee

New York-based photographer Jongchul Lee has got some interesting portraits up on his website. I’m not totally taken by it all but I think the gems are worth a mention. His black-and-white dance series is pretty interesting too.

I wonder what makes a portrait outstanding? How does it transcend time? Is it more than just capturing the likeness of a person? Maybe I should go read Barthez again.
